What does Esperanto have to do with dunking your produce in hot water? It turns out, according to a recent Yahoo News story, that this is an easy way to prolong their freshness. Well, this is just another case where they could have been talking about Esperanto, right? Here is the comment that I posted to the story:
"Learning Esperanto has the same effect on your native language (English, in this case): It helps you preserve your knowledge of grammatical structures and useful phraseology."

I have begun a website of link-based word-extensions. This consists of linking words to web pages where they play a significant role. For example, the word "hope" links to Esperanto (the home page of this website), as do the words "auxiliary" and "international".
Link-Based Word-Extensions is item #179 in my Public Domain Materials website:

I have started a monthly Mathematics circular.
It is item #177 in the table of contents of my public domain materials website:
http://www.public-domain-materials.com/table-of-contents.html
Note: I have upgraded my website address, dropping the "weebly" designation. (However, the old address will automatically forward to my new address.)
My website address is now:
www.public-domain-materials.com
An Esperanto version of the circular is available at the same location.

It seems to me that there is a typo in the book invoice used by E-USA, namely, the text "Addressee/Sendato". At the very least, "Sendato" should be changed to "Alsendato", because "sendato" means "one who is being sent", NOT "addressee". But the deeper issue is that this text should not be using the term "addressee" in the first place, as it sounds too much like the associated text "Ship to/ Sendu al". I believe the traditional text used is "Billing Address", so, this should be "Billing Address/Faktura Adreso", right?

While browsing the web, I happened across a list of quotes by Joe Anthony Blum. The list is bilingual: English and Esperanto. I don't know if it's ever been mentioned in this forum, but even if it has, it is such an extensive and impressive list that it deserves mention again. Here is the link:

B: "Your grandchildren will speak the language."

Here's the link to a cute poem titled "The Extension of English", in which the author laments the deliberate wordiness used by English speakers. I was wondering whether there is a similar trend in other languages, including Esperanto.

The "Join E-USA" menu item in the menu bar contains a typo. One of the items in its drop-down menu is "Contact Us". Holding the mouse on "Contact Us" results in an obsolete explanatory text, namely, "How to communicate with ELNA".
fyi.
