Did you people know that an EXTREMELY POPULAR website on language is run by an Esperantist??? No? I didn’t either.

While surfing the web, I just now happened across an interesting website called Omniglot – “the guide to languages, alphabets and other writing systems”. It’s a very popular website: Among its FAQs is the following entry:

What kind of traffic do you get on Omniglot?
Each month an average of 845,000 unique visitors make 1 million visits to Omniglot and view more than 2.2 million pages.

What’s more, the person behind this site, Simon Ager, is an Esperantist! Here is the link to his blog post in which he describes his entry into Esperantoland:

Omniglot gives some phrases in Esperanto, the last phrase in the list being the title of this post.
