Ever read "Vocxoj de poetoj el la spirita mondo"?
I think I got my copy for free a few years ago, but I see the retbutiko has it quite cheaply. At any reasonable price, the weirdness per dollar quotient is just marvelous, as the book is ostensibly poems written by dead Esperanto-language and Portuguese-language poets, as channeled by a Brazilian Spiritalist. And, while I think the quality of the poems themselves are uneven [not that I'm such a great judge of this], some are really not bad at all!
I was reminded of it recently, as I sat through a long, dull [non-esperanto] meeting, doodling idly, and found, somewhat to my surprise, that I had sort of channeled a poem that reminded me a bit of R.D. Laing [psychologist of the 1960s/1970s, who had a book of psychology/prose poems called "Knots" that I remember liking as a teenager, but haven't thought about for many years -- I see some (english) excerpts are online ].
Anyway, if Lorenz could channel dead Portugese-speaking poets in Esperanto, why can't I channel a dead English-speaking psychologist-and-sort-of-poet in Esperanto? It's a free country.
For what it's worth, this was what was written on my page:
Ĉi-tiujn vortojn mi diras
por ke vi devu pensi
ke la situacio estas tiaj
ke homo kiel mi
dirus ĉi-tiajn vortojn
kaj
ke mi estas tia homo
kiu dirus ĉi-tiajn vortojn
en ĉi-tia situacio.
Perhaps this isn't what is meant by deathless poetry. but it DID pass the time -- and I've often felt that that's the true purpose of most human communication, anyway.

Spiritismo
Having lived a year in Brazil, I can assure you that thousands of poems have been channeled. A dozen books are in the New York Office and they are distributed at cost or less.
