Even as I am trying to relaunch my Eo–speaking net–studio, Konstelacio, I am already running into a number of issues, Copyright being one of them. That has also occurred to Aleksander Osincev of Kontakto, who has written an entire essay on the topic of Copyright vs. Esperanto media, and how gesamideanoj might still be able to produce and distribute new works.
In The Jewish Week, Tom Eccardt's Esperanto activity is featured in an article called Dr. One-Who-Hopes:
On Wednesday evenings, Tom Eccardt pulls his bike up to the curb at Park Avenue and 21st Street, takes off his helmet and enters a small deli called Emma’s Dilemma. Inside, he peels off his jacket like Clark Kent, exposing a bright green T-shirt emblazoned with one word, one mission: ESPERANTO.
I was contacted late last fall by a journalist in Boston, Eva Wolchaver, who was interested in writing an article about Esperanto. We spoke a couple of times by phone and exchanged several emails. Today the article appeared at Boston Phoenix: You say what? It focuses on the role of Esperanto on college campuses, but captures a broader picture of world-wide Esperanto community as well. She did a great job capturing the substance of our conversations. Kudos to Eva!
