The Hyatt sits right on top of the Bethesda metro station. Bethesda is a suburb of DC, and its metro station is the first stop on the Red Line outside of the city limits, traveling in the direction of "Shady Grove." It is easily accesible by metro from most DC locations. Information on the DC metro is available at:

Getting to Washington:
Train:
Amtrak stops at Union Station, which is on the Metro Red Line. From there, just take the Red Line to Bethesda.
Bus:
The Greyhound station is located right behind Union Station (train, see above). Numerous other low-cost bus companies serve DC, especially from other East Coast cities. They drop off in various locations in the city. Some companies include:

boltbus.com

apexbus.com
2000coach.com
The last three are Chinatown buses.
Air:
Three airports serve the DC area. In order of convenience, they are:
Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA). Located on the yellow and blue metro lines. From here, you can take the metro, changing to the Red Line at Gallery Place Chinatown (from Yellow) or Metro Center (from Blue).
Dulles Airport, Fairfax Virginia (IAD). Usually cheaper than Reagan. Numerous ground transport options available, either direct or connecting with the metro system. Supershuttle direct to Bethesda is $29.00. For info see:

Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI). Further away, but you might find a deal there.
